Paid subscriptions and other ways to pay

Argonaut offers services within the CultureConnector framework to help people learn about cultures. Some CultureConnector services are free of charge for you. Other CultureConnector services, the paid services, require you to pay before you can access them. Services which are not marked as free or fixed length are usually subscriptions. You should check the product descriptions at https://www.cultureconnector.com/shop to see whether your chosen services are subscription.

The Free Plan

The CultureConnector service that does not require payment is called the “Free Plan”. You can learn more about the different plans in the shop.

Paying

All customers for the paid services must complete their purchase before they can access CultureConnector services. You can buy CultureConnector services by

  1. paying a regular subscription fee (Paid subscription) or
  2. pre-payment giving you access to the CultureConnector service for a fixed time period
  3. arranging payment via invoice and bank transfer, according to agreed payment terms; this option may be available for larger licences to existing customers by request to [email protected] or from your current Argonaut contact person.

Cooling off period

When you complete a purchase for a CultureConnector paid service, you consent to get access to the service immediately. Your licence period starts from the moment of purchase, not from the moment you decide to assign or give the licence inside cultureconnector.com. You may change your mind about your purchase for any or no reason and request a refund within one week (the “Cooling off period”). We will not, however, refund your payment if you have accessed CultureConnector at any time during the Cooling-off Period or assigned your licences to a group, person or organisation. We will refund the full amount of your paid monies, less an administrative fee of 50 Euros or equivalent in the currency you paid.

Cancelling

You may cancel your subscription any time after the first payment. You should check the starter fee for subscriptions in the shop. If a starter fee exists in your case, that starter fee is not refundable on cancellation.

Paid subscriptions and recurring payments

If you purchased a Paid subscription, your payment to Argonaut will automatically renew at the end of the Licence Period. Subscriptions are charged monthly, unless otherwise agreed. You will be charged at the start of every billing period and we will continue to charge you for the subscription on or around the date of the licence renewal until you cancel.

We may from time to time change the price for licence renewals (periods not yet paid for) and we will notify you of the price changes in advance with instructions, if appropriate for how to reject those price changes and end your subscription. Price changes for Paid Subscriptions will usually take effect at the start of the next renewal period following the date of the price change. Within the parameters of local law, you accept the new price by continuing to use the Subscription service after the price change takes effect. If you wish to reject the price changes, you should request the cancellation of your subscription before the price change comes into force. It is your responsibility to carefully read our notification of price changes sent to your email address (or the email address of the original licence purchaser or contact person).
